Planning a fly fishing trip abroad should be exciting—not complicated.
Whether you're travelling to Italy specifically to fish or adding a day on the river to your holiday, I'll help you organise every detail to make the experience as smooth as possible.
From choosing the best time of year to selecting the right river according to current conditions, every trip is planned personally.
My goal is simple: you enjoy the fishing while I take care of the logistics.
Every guided trip is tailored to the season, water conditions and your experience.
We'll meet in the morning at a pre-arranged location before heading to the river. Throughout the day we'll move according to hatches, weather and fishing opportunities, making the most of every situation.
There is no strict schedule.
The river decides the pace.
Before your trip I'll provide all the information you need, including:
Meeting point and timing
Recommended clothing and equipment
Weather and river conditions
Fishing licence requirements
Fly selection for the season
Travel advice if you're visiting from abroad
You're welcome to bring your own equipment.
If needed, I can also recommend suitable tackle before your visit so you're fully prepared for the day.
Hand-tied flies are always available and selected according to current conditions.
Northern Italy offers outstanding fly fishing throughout much of the season.
Spring brings the first major hatches and active fish after winter.
Summer offers technical dry fly fishing on clear mountain streams.
Autumn is a favourite time for many anglers, with beautiful colours, fewer people and memorable days on the water.
Every season has something unique to offer.
If my approach to fly fishing feels like the experience you're looking for, I'd be delighted to share a day on the river with you.
Get in touch, tell me a little about your plans, and together we'll create a memorable fly fishing experience in Northern Italy.
I look forward to meeting you on the water.
